Annual Starlight Gala

Described as Mount Shasta’s premier social event of the season, the MSEF Starlight Gala is a one-evening annual fundraiser that occurs in late fall. It consists of a silent auction of more than 200 amazing items, a no-host bar, delicious and plentiful hors d’oeuvres, music, an enticing dessert auction, and a high-spirited live auction of ten must-haves. All proceeds go to Mount Shasta public schools (K-12). It’s a great way to give back to your community, network, and socialize. The 2016 Gala raised more than $22,000. We’re anticipating another successful event this year. The evening is usually a sellout, so purchase your tickets well in advance.

Annual Membership Drive

In addition to the Starlight Gala, MSEF has one other fundraiser: its Annual Fund Drive. Each May, letters are mailed to members of the community to support MSEF's goal of providing monies for programs that would otherwise go unfunded.

The monies generated from this drive are combined with the Gala proceeds to fund grants to each school site. 

A thank-you ad runs in a July issue of the Mt. Shasta Herald, in which all the names of our contributors are printed. Special recognition is given to Scholar Membership donors, who contribute $200 or more.
